With over 700 miles of trails, we can hike through lush forests, discover hidden waterfalls, and witness stunning vistas. One of the most popular trails is the Grinnell Glacier Trail, which offers a challenging yet rewarding hike. Expect to pay a $30 vehicle fee for a seven-day pass, allowing us to explore the park at our leisure.

Best Times to Visit

The ideal time to visit Glacier National Park is during the summer months, from June to September. During this period, the weather is generally mild, with temperatures ranging from the 60s to 80s°F (15-27°C), making it perfect for hiking and outdoor activities. We should also keep in mind that some higher elevation trails may still have snow in early June, so planning our hikes accordingly is essential.
