With the development of technology and the progress of the times, more and more workers are working indoors, using their brain power, and more and more people are taking a sitting posture.
Sitting posture, too, will become the main posture adopted in future development.
If the staff's seat design is not reasonable, it is easy to bring some harm to the human body.
Therefore, the design of the office chair is particularly important whether the science.
We conducted an ergonomic analysis of the design of each part of the office chair.
1. Seat height
The vertical distance from the front edge of the seat to the ground is called the sitting surface height, seat height is one of the main factors affecting the degree of sitting comfort.
Seat height is not reasonable and will affect the person's sitting posture, the waist is easy to produce fatigue.
And a reasonable seat height, in accordance with ergonomic principles, is the approximate range of 38 cm-48 cm.
2. Seating surface design
When the staff is in a sitting position, the two sciatic nodes under the human pelvis tend to be horizontal.
If the sitting surface angle design is not reasonable to show the bucket shape, it will make the femur turn upward.
The hip muscles may have a sense of pressure, and the body feels uncomfortable.
The width of the seat surface is the human hip size plus the appropriate range of motion and set.
So the seat surface design should be as wide as possible to adapt to the needs of individual tall staff.
3. Seating depth
The distance from the front edge to the back edge of the seat surface depth.
Seat depth is related to whether the human back can be attached to the seat backrest.
If the sitting surface is too deep, the human back support point will be suspended, resulting in calf numbness.
If the sitting surface is too shallow, the front side of the thighs will be suspended, and the weight of all the pressure on the calf, human fatigue will accelerate.
According to ergonomic research, the seat surface depth is to maintain a certain distance from the ground.
4. Handrail Design
Design armrests can reduce the burden for the arm, so that the upper limb muscles better rest.
When the body gets up or changes posture, it can support the body to help the body maintain balance.
But the height of the armrest should be reasonably designed, an armrest too high or too low will cause arm fatigue.
According to ergonomic research, the height of the armrest and the distance between the seat surface, the distance controlled 20 cm-25 cm can meet the needs of most staff.
5. Shoulder rest design
The shoulder rest position is about the height of the fifth and sixth thoracic vertebrae, which is roughly the same as the height of the scapula.
The shoulder blade bearing area is relatively large, can make a long time in a sitting posture work, and cause shoulder and neck discomfort of the staff to relieve this discomfort.
The ideal office chair should be based on anthropometric dimensions.
The seat is designed in strict accordance with ergonomics so that employees do not feel physically and mentally exhausted even during a long period of extensive work.
