Waffle is a type of baked cake of Belgian origin, also known as lattice cake and griddlecake.
It is made in an oven with a special baking tray.
Because the grids in the baking pan are usually diamond-shaped or square, the waffles have a nice square shape.
Waffles belong to the snack category and the main ingredients are eggs and milk, which are rich in protein, fat, vitamins, and minerals needed by the human body such as iron, calcium, and potassium.
Waffles are popular in many countries and are eaten in different ways in different places.
People in Western countries often eat waffles with strawberry jam, chocolate, sugar, honey or cream, etc.
For example, Americans like to eat waffles with maple syrup as a snack and breakfast.
